Bundy settles on D1 school

Patience paid off for Anthem Boulder Creek’s Marquis Bundy.

The 6 foot 4, 195 WR had been waiting since last spring for a D1 offer to come his way but nothing materialized. Instead, FCS power Montana came a calling along with a host of other FCS schools.  And after visiting Montana in the fall, Bundy pledged his allegiance.

But when New Mexico hired Bob Davie late, it opened a new possibility for Bundy and things paid off.  The receiver got an offer from Bundy this past Wednesday during a school visit by the former Notre Dame head coach and during his official visit this weekend, he made a commitment to Albuquerque school for the next four years.

In the end, the opportunity to play D1 football was too much to pass up.
